Recently, PewDiePie decided to play a more story-driven game than just horror and macabre. The game he chose was "To The Moon," an indie game made recently. Here is the official description:
To The Moon is an indie RPG/adventure game, about two doctors traversing through the memories of a dying man to fulfill his last wish.
Dr. Rosalene and Dr. Watts have rather peculiar jobs: They give people another chance to live, all in their head. But due to the severity of the operation, the new life becomes the last thing the patients remember before drawing their last breath.
This story follows their attempt to fulfill the dream of an elderly man, Johnny. With each step back in time, a new fragment of Johnny's past is revealed. As the two doctors piece together the puzzled events that spanned a life time, they seek to find out just why the frail old man chose his dying wish to be what it is. And Johnny's last wish is, of course; to go to the moon.
This is the greatest story I have ever played in my entire life. Nothing I have ever witnessed is as magnificent as the story portrayed in this game. By the end I found myself incredibly saddened, and at one point, this game made me shed a tear. It is without a doubt a great story, and it should be played by everyone; even if you don't like this kind of game, the gameplay isn't what makes it extraordinary, it's the story.
Unfortunately, the game isn't free. You can buy the full version at www.freebirdgames.com and play your hearts out.
Or you down download it here www.mediafire.com/?p9126uwwcc1…
and play for free. This is from my own personal cache of downloads on MediaFire, and it is the entire game. It is worth the download, and you will never regret playing it. It is absolutely beautiful; the pixel art is amazing, the character personalities are perhaps some of the most believable I have ever witnessed, and the story was absolute gold.
And the best part is; there might be more of them coming soon. I really hope so, this was astounding, absolutely... wow.
